Is it possible to return a camera to Jessops after i tried it at home for less than a week?
I bought a camera at Jessops, and tried returning it after a week and everything was exactly the same but the guy at the shop told me he couldn´t take it back only because i had opened the instructions manual and it comes only in a normal plastic, that looks like it could been sealed with any standart home sealer for plastic bags, you know? --- do you have any idea if that´s normal? ---then i told him i wanted to get another camera, that icosts twice as much, and he said in that case that was ok, he wrote a paper (not even with the Jessops header or anything, just a little piece of paper) that said that i could use the value of the camera to get the other one i wanted.
I actually wanted my money back cause in Jessops this other camera costs a LOT more. ;(
does anybody know any customer services email or contact i could use? or is anyone familiar with return policies and all? thanx!
Legally, you have no rights to a refund or replacement. From a point of view of Customer Service, Jessops would often be expected to do such a thing out of goodwill, but they don't have to.
Your best bet is to go back to the store and ask to see their returns policy. It should be something they have on the shop floor in writing. That will tell you what you're entitled to.
The other option is to be straight with the Salesman and tell him that you'd like the dearer camera but they're too expensive. They might price match.
