Portable Evaporative Cooler/Swamp Cooler?

I am thinking about getting a portable swamp cooler for my house in SO CAL. I want a portable one so I can move it to the bedroom at night and the kitchen/living room durring the day. If you have had experiance with these, please let me know how you like it, and if you recomend it. BTW it is usuialy low humidity here.

i have had both portable swamp coolers and portable a/c's the only diffrence i saw was that the ac worked a bit better but used a heck of a lot more electricty and had more features. either one works fine though.
