what is a Yellow Jacket r410a used for?
i am going to hvac school. i just started and I feel like im getting lost. Im looking at my tools and some of them I dont know what they are for. I have a yellow jacket test and Charging Manifold. it has two yellow hoses 1 blue one, 1 red one. What is this tool for?
Them manifolds are used for charging (adding refrigerant), recovery (vacuuming the system, for example when having to replace a refrigerant compressor, finding out what your head pressure is, for checking superheat and subcooling (checking temperatures) and many other uses.
Note: Always remember this and it will help you; Red is for the high end line on a unit(Refrigerant Line- The Small Refrigerant Copper Tubing), Blue is for the low end line on a unit (Refrigerant Line- The Large Refrigerant Copper Tubing) and the two yellows are for hooking up a refrigerant tank and Vacuum Pump.
